Arise Ragnarok Shadows
How the army works: E to Arise, R to Collect, slots every 90 levels, assassin-type DPS, Guild merges.
Shadows are why Arise Ragnarok is not a generic Roblox brawler. Your hunter swings a class-locked weapon; the army you raise from corpses does the real damage. Players who dump a thousand Strength and ignore Arise fall behind players who keep assassin-type units and merge them in the Guild Building. This is the army manual for the live game (October 18, 2025, 16-player servers), not an Arise Crossover summon list. If the arise key feels wrong, read Controls first.
Arise versus Collect
A downed enemy shows a prompt.
- E — Arise. The unit becomes a Shadow in your collection. Equip it from the skull panel, then summon it (BloxInformer: B).
- R — Collect. The body becomes Stone Essence. The Guild Store pays 2 coins per essence.
- Some clients — click or tap the corpse three times to Arise. PGG documents this path. It is the same decision as E, not a second roll.
You cannot do both on one body. Early on, Arise anything that might be assassin-type or a named elite. Collect trash once your slots are full of better copies you intend to merge. An empty army cannot clear dungeons for the chests that actually gear you.
Auto Arise (499 Robux on Rolimons) is the quality-of-life pass that removes the prompt grind. It does not pick better shadows for you. Instant Arise / Collect (99) only speeds the same decision. Neither pass is required to finish Getting Started.
Slots, summoning, and scaling
You begin with one equip slot. PGG: every 90 levels adds a slot (90, 180, 270…). BloxInformer currently lists a maximum of nine summoned shadows. Extra Shadow (399 Robux) adds one more equip slot on top of the level curve. Buy that after you own a second unit worth wearing, not as a day-one panic purchase.
Equipped shadows scale off your class main stat, per BloxInformer:
- Mage and Healer — Intelligence
- Warrior, Assassin, Tank — Strength
SDW (Shadow) on your own sheet still raises shadow damage and health. It is the army stat. Putting every point into SDW and none into STR / INT leaves both you and the pets weak; the split belongs on stats and builds. Healer-class shadows heal you and nearby shadows. Warrior-type shadows hit and hold aggro. Assassin-type shadows are the DPS you farm for.
Index / collection screens show types. Community DPS tests put assassin-type shadows (Elf, dungeon bosses, units fans nickname Moke) at the top of raw damage, with Mage and Warrior in the middle and Tank-type shadows last for killing speed. Use the shadows tier list for a ranked snapshot; this page is the mechanic, not a full S-tier poster.
Where good shadows drop
Street quests give you the first goblins, lycans, and generic soldiers. They fill slot one. They are not your endgame core.
Dungeons are the real hunt. Goblin Cave, Subway, Insect, and Infernal Castle (Cerberus) all produce arise targets plus 1–3 chests. Igris Dungeon is later content opened with keys — DUNGEONKEY is the code that currently hands out Igris keys. Seasonal rooms (BloxInformer documents a Christmas dungeon with Leprechaun, Ginger Bread, and Snowman shadows) rotate; treat event units as extra collection, not a reason to skip the public :00 / :30 portals.
Fan videos name Elf Dungeon, Demon Castle, Spider, and Agress as shadow farms. Those names are unconfirmed aliases, not PGG location rows. Run the confirmed portals on the dungeons guide and Arise whatever assassin-type unit actually spawns. BloxInformer’s roster so far includes Ghost, Goblin, Lycan, Elf, Jinsuk, Lee Chul, Ginger Bread, Skeleton, Min Seok, and Leprechaun — incomplete by their own note, not a drop table.
Merging at the Guild Building
Duplicates exist to be merged, not to clog storage. Enter the tall Guild Building (CLGAMES logo, Infernal Castle portal outside), take the elevator, and talk to the Shadow Merge NPC on the upper floor. BloxInformer: you need four copies of the same unit. Put the strongest copy in the first slot; there is no shadow stat reroll yet, so feeding a weak “main” into three strong copies is how people brick a line.
Hover the result before you pay. Merges cost coins from essence (2 each) and mana crystals (1 each), not quest turn-ins. Weapon and armor merge NPCs sit on the same floor. Fan chat puts a ceiling around M30 for shadows and M10 for weapons — a community observation. If the NPC still accepts copies past those numbers, believe the NPC. Storage passes do not raise damage; Extra Shadow helps you field more of the army you already merged.
Army habits that actually level you
Arise first, Collect later, until you own merge food for a real assassin-type. Do not Collect Cerberus for coins — you need the boss shadow more. After the run, sell crystals and leftover essence at the Guild Store (30-minute refresh).
Keep the army summoned. If B or the summon button fails, re-equip from the skull panel; a merge can unequip a unit. At the rank test (PGG: level 1,000; some players say 1,050), a merged assassin core matters more than a vanity weapon. Ranks E → S improve chest quality; you do not restart the army.
Auto arise scripts exist and can close the account. Learn E / R, then buy Auto Arise if your hands are the bottleneck. Next: Dungeons, Mining, and the shadows tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Arise Ragnarok on Roblox.
How do I arise a shadow in Arise Ragnarok?
Defeat the enemy, then press E (preferred) or click the corpse three times if that UI appears. R Collects essence for 2 coins instead of adding a shadow.
How many shadows can I equip?
One at the start, then another slot every 90 levels. BloxInformer lists a current summon cap of nine. Extra Shadow (399 Robux) adds one more equip slot.
Which shadows deal the most damage?
Assassin-type shadows — Elf and dungeon bosses — are the DPS priority. Mage and Warrior types are mid. Tank types are for holding, not for clear speed. See the shadows tier list.
Where do I merge shadows?
Guild Building, elevator to the top floor, Shadow Merge NPC. Four copies of the same unit; strongest piece in slot one. Fan merge cap sits around M30.
Do shadows scale off my stats?
Yes. BloxInformer: INT for Mage / Healer owners, STR for Warrior / Assassin / Tank. SDW on your sheet also boosts shadow damage and HP.
Should I Collect or Arise early game?
Arise until you have assassin-type units and merge food. Collect leftover trash for essence once the roster is set. Coins from Collect still matter for merge fees.
