Rank Up in Arise Ragnarok
Guild Building rank test, PGG's level 1000, the 1050 patch report, ranks E to S, and the statue fight.
Ranking up is the late-game gate in Arise Ragnarok. It is not a colored street quest, not a :00 portal, and not an Arise Crossover island trial. You grind the city until the Rank Test in the Guild Building will talk to you, you fight a statue (or walk into an orb, depending which write-up you trust), and if you pass, your hunter letter moves E to D to C to B to A to S. The game has been live on Roblox since October 18, 2025, on 16-player servers. This page is that test.
If you just spawned, go back to Getting Started. The machine is not a first-hour stop.
Where the test actually is
The Rank Test lives in the Guild Building — the tall CLGAMES high-rise with the shop and merge NPCs, the same plaza that hosts the Infernal Castle portal for Cerberus. Enter, take the elevator, walk to the Rank Test room. Pro Game Guides: interact with the machine if you meet the requirement. Fan write-ups add a second step: walk into an orb once the machine says you are ready. Believe the prompt on your screen. There is no secret keybind; controls still apply inside the fight.
Do not confuse this with a public dungeon window. The :00 / :30 portals on the dungeon schedule are Goblin Cave, Subway, Insect, and Infernal Castle. The rank test is a Guild interaction you start yourself.
Level 1,000 versus 1,050
PGG puts the breakpoint at level 1,000. That is the number this wiki treats as documented. After a later patch, some players report the machine wants 1,050. We state both. Prefer 1,000 in this guide, then walk to the machine and read the UI. If it still says 1,000, PGG is current. If it says 1,050, the fan report won on your shard.
The grind to that number is quests between windows and timed dungeons at :00 / :30. Blue quests pay 1,000 EXP. A PGG dungeon table clear pays 5,000. Mining coins does not level you. Codes can drop keys and chests — redeem live strings on codes before you camp a red marker for a week.
Ranks E through S
You start at E. Passing the test walks the letter: E, D, C, B, A, then S. Six ranks. There is no documented X-rank or National rank on this title. Stop at S unless a later update writes a new letter.
PGG: higher rank means better weapons, armor, and artifacts from chests. Nerdschalk and the video on this page go further: ranking up improves the gear you wear (health and damage) and also ranks the dungeons themselves, so difficulty and chest quality climb together. That double bump is why people treat the test as a power spike instead of a cosmetic title.
The statue fight
Nerdschalk: at the final stage you fight a three-phase statue boss. Clear all three phases to upgrade. Fan orb reports skip the prose and say walk in. Both can be true if the room teleports you into the statue after the orb.
Practical prep, not a DPS table we do not have:
- Bring a class you can actually play at the cap. Assassin and Warrior want STR. Mage and Healer want INT. Tank still needs VIT plus STR. Full split: stats and builds.
- Summon the army. A merged assassin-type core from shadows and merging matters more than a vanity weapon.
- Q dash still dodges. Skills 1–4 still fire. This is not a menu minigame.
- Do not start the test the same minute a public portal is dying. Fail, and you wasted a window.
If the statue one-shots you, you did not meet proper stats. Nerdschalk is explicit: meet the requirements before you attempt it. That means VIT so you live, MNA so you can Arise and skill, and the class main stat so the kit is real. Fan ideal totals (MNA 500–600, VIT 500) are community templates, not PGG.
What changes after you pass
Chests roll better. Dungeons hit harder. Your items’ HP and damage go up with the letter. That is the loop: you ranked so the next Goblin Cave or Infernal Castle is worth running again. Merge four copies of the new rank’s drops; old-rank food may not merge into the new letter — check the NPC.
Hunters + QoL relabeled a lot of rank language on items as rarity pips and, per fan reports, star upgrades. Player rank letters E through S are still the hunter ladder on PGG. Do not skip the Guild machine because a thumbnail said ranks are dead.
After a pass, sell crystals, dump duplicates into merge NPCs, and resume the city loop. The next letter waits at the same breakpoint. S is the documented ceiling.
